Eating a well-balanced and nutritious diet is one of the best ways to stay healthy
With busy lives and easy access to food that doesn’t have all of the nutrients we need, it’s easy to get off track. Our community nutritionists support healthy eating, which prevents chronic disease and promotes healthy growth and development. Nutrition counselling Adults Nutrition counsellors work with adults 18 years of age and older that have a wide variety of health conditions. Counsellors also help with chronic disease prevention and management. Infants and youth Healthy eating is critical for the growing bodies and minds of children and babies. Our community nutritionists work in community health centres and with schools to ensure children have access to the best nutrition programs and parents have the information they need to help their children eat well. Meal services Our meal services provide hot and nourishing food to people in need such as homebound seniors and people with disabilities. Meals on Wheels brings hot meals to people’s homes and Wheels to Meals brings people to places like neighbourhood houses where they can enjoy hot meals with others. We also offer services such as Shop By Phone and Group Shopping to people who have difficultly getting groceries.
