Open Board Forums

Every year, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) holds three Open Board Forums to provide an opportunity for community members to hear updates from and engage directly with the organization’s senior leadership.

During the session, VCH senior leaders provide relevant updates on local health-care topics, such as public health, acute- and community-based services. Participants are also invited to ask questions and share comments directly with the VCH Board of Directors and senior leadership. 

Details regarding each meeting are posted in advance on this page, and recordings of past events can be accessed below.

  • When are Open Board Forums held?

    Open Board Forums are usually held three time a year in the fall, winter and spring at various locations throughout the VCH region. Event information is listed in advance on this page.

  • Can I attend board meetings?

    Our Board of Directors holds meetings for the public that include formal and informal discussions with the community. These meetings are open to any member of the public.

  • Who appoints the board?

    The provincial government's Crown Agencies and Board Resourcing Office appoint board members for two-year terms.
