Open Board Forum
Every year, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) holds three Open Board Forums to provide an opportunity for community members to hear directly from and engage with the organization’s senior leaders.
The Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Board of Directors and senior leaders hosted an Open Board Forum on June 5, 2024 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Open Board Forum was a telephone town hall with outreach to First Nations Métis and Inuit members across the VCH region, as well as service providers and staff.
During the session, VCH senior leaders provided updates on public health, discussed health services and programs and opened up a conversation on providing culturally safe care for Indigenous Peoples. Participants asked questions and shared comments directly with the VCH Board of Directors and senior leadership.

Can I attend board meetings?
Our Board of Directors holds meetings for the public that include formal and informal discussions with the community. These meetings are open to any member of the public.

Who appoints the board?
The provincial government's Crown Agencies and Board Resourcing Office appoint board members for two-year terms.
