Open Board Forums
Every year, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) holds three Open Board Forums to provide an opportunity for community members to hear updates from and engage directly with the organization’s senior leadership.
Open Board Forum April 2, 2025
The next Open Board Forum is a telephone town hall focused on health-care topics relevant to the North Shore. It will be held on April 2, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
During this session, the VCH Board of Directors and senior leaders will provide updates on health-care services and programs, including the new Paul Myers Tower at Lions Gate Hospital and broader public health, acute care, community care, including home health and mental health services, as well as other initiatives that support the health and wellness of North Shore communities.
Participants will be able to ask questions during multiple Q&A periods.
To register, please fill out the survey below and you will receive confirmation by email. On April 2 at 6 p.m., you will receive a phone call to the telephone number you provided that automatically connects you to the telephone town hall. You will be able to listen into the meeting and ask questions during the session.

When are Open Board Forums held?
Open Board Forums are usually held three time a year in the fall, winter and spring at various locations throughout the VCH region. Event information is listed in advance on this page.

Can I attend board meetings?
Our Board of Directors holds meetings for the public that include formal and informal discussions with the community. These meetings are open to any member of the public.

Who appoints the board?
The provincial government's Crown Agencies and Board Resourcing Office appoint board members for two-year terms.
