Youth Concurrent Disorder Clinicians provide services to youth and young adults ages 13 to 24 including comprehensive psychosocial assessments and individual, group, and family counselling for clients with addiction/substance use concerns.

About Bella Coola Youth Concurrent Disorders Services

  • Creates individualized treatment plans for youth and young adults with concurrent mental health and addiction/substance use issues.
  • Provides psychoeducation, family sessions, and parenting/caregiver support.
  • Supports with referrals to withdrawal management (detox) and addiction/substance use treatment programs.
  • Works collaboratively with school staff, Nuxalk Health and Wellness staff, and other agencies to support youth and young adults and their families who are struggling with mental health and addiction/substance use issues.

    The Youth Concurrent Disorder Clinician is available from 8:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday, at the Bella Coola General Hospital or by telehealth from Vancouver.
