Harm reduction: Toward the Heart
Substance use services support adults living on the North Shore with their substance use goals, whether that’s using substances more safely, not using at all, or just getting information. We also help people with the mental health challenges that can cause their substance use problems, or get worse when people use.
Stepping Stones Substance Use Services provides easy and quick access to evidence-based treatments for adults who are struggling with problematic substance use or concurrent mental health and substance use issues.
Services include:
- Substance use counselling
- Weekly psychoeducation and therapy groups
- Opioid Agonist Therapy (OAT)
How to access

Check eligibility
- Adults aged 19 or over
- Living on the North Shore, including Deep Cove and Lions Bay.

Call us, walk in during business hours or refer
You can contact us to learn about our team and become a client if we are a good fit. We also accept referrals from community agencies and from doctors/nurse practitioners whose patients live on the North Shore.

- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Saturday: Closed
- Sunday: Closed

Parking and transportation
We are located just west of Lonsdale Avenue on West 17th Street in North Vancouver, near Chesterfield Avenue, in Suite 250 of the Professional Centre Building, on the second floor. Regular public transit is available along Lonsdale Avenue.
