Addiction medicine includes clinical assessments, consultations, treatment planning and aftercare for people struggling with substances such as alcohol and opioids.

What to expect

Employs various interventions to address medical, psychological, social, and emotional concerns.

Addiction medicine services use a harm-reduction evidence-based model and diverse interventions such as opiate agonist therapy (Methadone, Suboxone and Morphine), anti-craving medication for alcohol dependence and Narcan (Naloxone) training to reverse opiate overdose.
