Food Skills for Families

Food Skills for Families is a six-week program that teaches groups how to cook tasty, healthy meals, learn to read food labels and make healthy choices.
What to expect
The program, created by Dietitians and educators, is built on Canada’s Food Guide and meets the needs of five groups:
- Aboriginal,
- newcomers,
- Punjabi,
- low-income families and
- seniors.
However, anyone who wants to learn how to prevent or manage diabetes and other chronic diseases, and optimize their family’s health through renewed shopping and cooking skills, is encouraged to join.
