News release ➞ November 24 2024 shíshálh Nation and Vancouver Coastal Health celebrate 60 year milestone of Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital In 1962, leaders from shíshálh Nation gifted a 11.2-acre parcel of land creating a home for the current Sechelt | shíshálh Hospital which opened on November 29, 1964. Today, Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), shíshálh Nation and community health care partners came together to celebrate the impact and generosity of this gift with a ceremony and feast. News release ➞
