Ali Moore started working as a nurse in 2006 and a nurse practitioner in 2015. As a nurse practitioner (NP), she has worked in both primary care and sexual health/HIV treatment and prevention care since 2014. She has also locumed alongside her family physician spouse, Simon, in rural Northwest Territories. Ali first started working at the BCCDC STI Clinic in 2014 as an registered nurse certified in sexual health and then as an NP since 2022. She is passionate about partnering with patients to help them access shame-free, evidence-informed sexual health care.
Recently, Ali has started training in the Anal Dysplasia Clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital and is enthusiastic about helping patients prevent anal cancer.
Ali completed her Master of Public Health at the University of Waterloo and her NP training at the University of Toronto.
At home, Ali and her partner Simon find great joy (and profound exhaustion) in keeping up with and laughing at the random and hilarious things their three kids say and do. They also enjoy sleeping past 7 a.m., though this is a rare occurrence.
