About Urgent and Primary Care Centres
UPCCs provide care for people with urgent, non-life-threatening health concerns who need same-day care but don’t require a visit to the emergency department. Integrate your expertise in family or emergency medicine within the urgent care setting, delivering team-based care. Our UPCCs offer Nurse Practitioners a residency with advanced education to enhance skills, including a postgraduate program and return of service, supporting you through the crucial first 18 months. Additionally, physicians benefit from ongoing skill development, flexible work schedules, and valuable mentorship opportunities.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) operates seven UPCCs located on the North Shore, Richmond, and Vancouver.
