Melissa Skaugset is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Emergency Ultrasound expert practicing at BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH) and is the Division Head of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Emergency Department Point of Care Ultrasound Director for the Emergency Department at BCCH. She received her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in Loma Linda, California, then did residency in Pediatrics, fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, and fellowship in Clinical Ultrasound in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is an American working on becoming Canadian and enjoying Vancouver with her husband and two boys.
