Xin Mei Liu (she/her) is an emergency physician at Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital. She was born in China and grew up in Montreal. She completed her medical degree at McGill University and emergency medicine residency at the University of British Columbia. From coast to coast and internationally, she has been teaching Point of Care Ultrasound since 2018, and she is a Master Instructor in the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society. Currently, her ultrasound education focuses on supporting family physician in the Metro Vancouver area, directing several courses for REACH UPCC, Squamish Nation Clinic and Richmond UPCCs. Outside of ultrasound, Xin is interested in social justice and equity, diversity and inclusion.
