Room and building
There are 67 single rooms with ensuite bathrooms. There are 3 semi-private rooms. All rooms come with basic furnishings but residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms. Meals are prepared in-house and resident feedback is sought to plan menus.
Accessibility
Adanac Park Lodge is fully wheelchair accessible. Outdoor-type scooters are not to be used in the building.
Safety and security
Smoke detectors are installed in all rooms and elevators. Security cameras are located in designated areas throughout the building and underground parking. Visitors must ring the doorbell after 7:00 p.m.
Neighbourhood and community
Adanac is located in the beautiful setting of Adanac Park with extensive green space that is accessible to wheelchairs. There is bus transportation next door to the care home with two bus routes – each has access to the Skytrain and the Kootney Loop bus exchange. Located on a major arterial road (Boundary Road), there are ample restaurants and shopping within a one-mile radius.
