Parking and transportation

There are limited visitors and accessible parking on site. Street Parking is additionally available. The Care Home is easily accessible via transit services.

Room and building

Each room is equipped with a large window, heating and air conditioning. The home has several dining and activity spaces, common areas and gardens for residents to enjoy recreational activities with their family, friends and neighbours.

Basics include an electric bed, a bedside table and dresser and all required linens. Each room has a closet, toilet, sink and air conditioning.

Chénchenstway has 216 single-suite rooms. 106 are operated by Fraser Health and 110 by Providence Health Care. The site has several dining spaces and a full-service kitchen. There are many indoor and outdoor common areas at the site. The site’s three courtyards provide residents with beautiful outdoor recreational spaces. Spiritual and recreational services are available at the site.

Accessibility

Chénchenstway is accessible for basic wheelchairs. Basic wheelchairs are provided free of charge. Residents are responsible to purchase custom-fit wheelchairs/walkers if required.

Security

Lighted grounds, lighted parking lot and coded security on all exterior doors, call bells at beside and in bathrooms, exterior video surveillance, full fire detection and suppression system throughout the building.

Therapeutic recreation opportunities

Social, recreation and activity programs are provided seven days a week.
