The Silverstone care team provides comfort and dignity to a person with a serious illness who is approaching death. We incorporate the person and family’s values and wishes in end-of-life care, supporting their vision of passing.
Silverstone Hospice is a partnership between the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society and Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH). Together, we have a team of experienced care providers, including nurses, doctors, counsellors and a large group of volunteers who provide extra support.
The hospice is staffed 24 hours a day with palliative-trained nurses. The palliative care on-call physicians visit throughout the week and are on-call on the weekends.
The Silverstone Hospice is located on the traditional homelands of the shishahl Nation and serves Sunshine Coast residents.
