Construction begins on new UBC Faculty of Medicine Medical Education Centre

​In another significant step forward for the Richmond Hospital Redevelopment Project, construction has commenced on the relocated UBC Faculty of Medicine Medical Education Centre. This relocation is a necessary step to prepare for construction of the Yurkovich Family Pavilion, a nine-floor acute care tower. The new tower will have a larger emergency department, more operating rooms, a state-of-the-art intensive care unit, a fully equipped medical imaging department, a pharmacy, and short-stay pediatrics.

Richmond Hospital IV Clinic relocates to permanent home

​Richmond Hospital’s IV clinic has moved to its new permanent location as of October 13, 2023. The relocated clinic will now be housed in Room 1016 on the ground floor of the Milan Ilich Pavilion, a strategic relocation necessitated by the upcoming construction of the Yurkovich Family Pavilion, a nine-floor acute care tower.
