Public Safety Advisory for customers of Killarney Market brand ground beef and ground pork
Vancouver, BC – Vancouver Coastal Health is warning customers not to consume Killarney Market Brand ground beef and ground pork due to possible E. coli 0157:H7 contamination.
This advisory is an update to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) recall warning issued on May 9, 2015 – ‘Killarney Market Brand Beef Recalled Due to E. coli 0157:H7’.
No illnesses have been reported linked to the consumption of these products.
The following products should be thrown out or returned to the Killarney Market at 2611 East 49th Avenue, in Vancouver.

E. coli 0157:H7 infection can cause mild to severe symptoms including diarrhea and stomach cramps. In severe cases diarrhea may become bloody. Symptoms start an average of three to four days after exposure to the bacteria, and usually last between five to 10 days. Rarely, it can lead to kidney failure and death.
If you think you have an infection caused by E. coli, see your family doctor for testing, advice and treatment.
